What are your thoughts on intermittent fasting?

Intermittent fasting (IF) is an eating pattern that alternates between periods of eating and fasting. Rather than focusing on what you eat, it emphasizes when you eat. Common methods include the 16/8 approach (fasting for 16 hours and eating within an 8-hour window) or the 5:2 method (eating normally for five days and limiting calories for two non-consecutive days). IF may help with weight loss, improve metabolic health, and reduce inflammation, though more research is needed. It’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any fasting regimen to ensure it’s safe for your health.

With that being said, what are your thoughts on IF?

I’ve heard of this. I’ve heard doing this tends to make people eat more later to make up for it. However, I have an overeating ED, so I’ve been considering something small like this myself.

well ive been doing it daily for around 3 ish years as of now. It can easily spiral into something else along the way but yeah. It's not even a 'diet' for me at this point. I couldn't let it go even if I wanted, I think.

Though my hours are usually 20/4, meaning I fast 20 hours (sometimes 18ish due to drinking coffee with milk in the morning, to not pass out or something) then I eat in the 4hour window. I usually eat my meals for the day at once, which I think is kind of weird but what can you do.
