Bad sleep

Hey,

Just joined 7 cups, thought I'd introduce myself around a few places on the forum. :) I've never slept well - trouble falling asleep, and once I'm awake, that's it. I wake up at every little noise, I wake up to turn over, and I wake up in the morning feeling like I haven't slept.

Lately, though, I feel like there's something in my head trying to get out - best way I can describe it is that it's a monster trying to claw its way out. Been like that for a while, so whatever thought or feeling or problem is rolling around in there (I have no idea what it is, unfortunately) it's really affecting my sleep.

But it's good to be here! Maybe I can find some tips to help me out. :)

Hi, one thing that helps me to sleep is listen to calm music in a low volume or turning the TV on in a really low volume, sleeping with a stuffed animal helps too bc you don't feel lonely and you feel more protected, try to read or something so you can think about the story before you fall asleep instead of thinking about that "problem" I hope some of this tips works on you 😚💕

Sooo many people take sleep for granted and I hate it. I wish I had some tips for you but I'm searching myself! I just thought I'd send this to let you know I empathize fully.

Thanks. :) It's weird, but the last couple of nights I've slept better because I made myself stay up until after 10 instead of just going to sleep earlier because I was tired. And because of that, I've actually woken up earlier (just after 6) and felt better for it! I have tried the calming music before, but where I am right now I can't play it all night, and I wake up once it has turned off, which is a shame. Counting sheep never works either - my sheep always end up doing their own thing! ;)
