Cookie Cake?

So, I made an accidental masterpiece. I was in my kitchen smashing cookies in a bowl like any other normal individual when I had a thought. I've seen a lot recipes where they crush up cookies or biscuits and add butter to it to make as a crust. So, being bored at 3 AM I put some butter in a pot until it melted and added to the cookie crumbs. I got my little metal adjustable oven pan thing (Idk, what it's called >//<) and put the buttery crumbs at the bottom and put it in the oven at 365 heat.

Since I still had some cookie crumbs left over I thought what if I add milk to the crumbs? Would it make batter? Would it be edible? Would I burn the house down my accident? Who knows, so taking a chance I added about a cup of almond milk to the cookie crumbs and it was wayyyyy too wet. However, like a beacon of hope I noticed a bowl of oat flour chilling in the back of the fridge. If it's one thing I learned about baking is if ever something is too wet just add flour. And that is what I did. Three handfuls of oat flour later and my batter was nice and smooth. Not too runny, but like pancake batter kind of thick. I poured in some honey and added one egg, because cakes and stuff usually have eggs.  🤷

I mixed it well and then added it to the cookie crumble crust and waited for maybe twenty minutes until the batter was done. I pulled it out and let it cool. Once it did, I cut myself a slice and it I was very pleasantly surprised. It was actually good and in tact. It actually tasted like a cookie cake, my sister even liked it and she's a hard core sweet critic. Anyway, just thought I'd share this accidental story.

Do you have any recipes that you made by accident that turned out great?

This thing here is what I was trying to describe. Still don't know what it's called:  image_1707540186.png

@JollyRacher

Congratulations on your masterpiece.  🎊

Officially I think those tins are called a springform cake tin. But I tend to call them fancy spring tins.
