Help with finding a hobby
Have anyone find themselves without a hobby. I hate whenever anyone ask me what is my hobby. I don't really have any hobbies. I'm 27 year old and really don't have much interest in anything. I mainly stay home and hang out with my family after school or work. So what are some hobbies to pick up on?
@diligentNest7099 helloo ❤ I have a hobby I like art and craft. But not everyone has a hobby. If you are happy with doing what you do then there's no issue. And tell other people to mind their own buisness😁
@Tinywhisper11 I wholeheartedly agree that some people need to mind their own business more 😆 💙

@diligentNest7099 Music , a life long hobby
@diligentNest7099 I came upon a new hobby by accident once. I was visiting friends, and another friend brought over an oil painting kit and invited anyone who wished to join in to do so. I did, and I found that I love painting with oil, and I started. I also paint with acrylic. I had always been a bit artistic but never trained. Sometimes by observing others or joining in can give us an opportunity to try something we might love. I really hope you find something you enjoy 🙂I also used to go to pottery painting studios. That can get a little expensive (so can oil painting), but it's reasonable for what is provided. It's fun to do a painting project and then see the end result once it's fired in a kiln. The paint looks dull in color when applied but becomes bright and shiny after it's done in the kiln.
@diligentNest7099 I don't know if you like to read, but that can be a hobby. I have done probably three or four threads in the hobby zone about a specific book that whoever participates reads, and then we discuss it. If you are interested (absolutely no pressure at all), please let me know, and I'll add you to the tag list. We're in the process of discussing one now (and just so you know, there are some silent or quiet participants who read but only read the discussions instead of participating, which is an option if you like), and we already have our next book picked!
@ReadBooks7
HI! I'm interested. Please add me to the tag list if it is not too late. :) Thank you!
@diligentNest7099 great timing, as we are just about to begin a new book! I added you😊
@ReadBooks7 what book are you reading? i'm potentially interested :)
@kindSpruce7383 we are reading Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult. If you would like to join us, please let me know, and I will tag you in that post 😊
@ReadBooks7 looked it up, sounds a bit heavy so i'll pass :)
@kindSpruce7383 I can definitely understand as the content is a bit heavy. Would you like to be on the tag list in the future for other books? No pressure at all, but if you would like to be, please do let me know. We often read books that have some heavy topics, but some might be a bit lighter than others. And I/we are always open to suggestions.
@diligentNest7099 Well what I would suggest is to do something that involves physical body movement like some kind of dance( You don't have to be good at it) or yoga.

You can learn guitar or some tech stuffs

I love netball and playing ball sports so that's fun!
Think about what kind of things draw your curiosity and attention. Does it feel great talking about music with your friends? Maybe you're somewhat into history whenever you hear your parents talking about how things used to be back in the past? Or maybe there's something that has already caught your attention yet you've never thought about trying to do it yourself?
I've found that, for me, my hobbies revolve around things I'm very curious about and which I enjoy exploring. Maybe these questions might help you realize there's something you've always been interested in but never tried it yourself. For example, I've always been very much into electronic music, but I never thought of producing / DJing music even though I liked digging songs and the stories revolving the evolution of dance music, and nowadays I do both for my own joy. Look for something that moves you and it will find you eventually :)
@diligentNest7099 Hello! A licensed therapist here: For this, I ask my clients two questions : 1) Do you feel like you don't know what your hobbies and interests are.
or
2) You know what your interests are but lack motivation to do them.
@diligentNest7099 I feel like when you think of hobbies, a number of us will feel the pressure to say something we always do. The truth is, some of us are just too busy with work and we are still figuring out how to balance life. I'd rather ask people what they like to do or what they're interested in instead. For me, singing and doing karaoke gives me a sense happiness. Sometimes I sing alone or with the company of others. I don't always do this so it's an interest not something I do weekly.
