Skiing can be dangerous

This past weekend I went skiing for the first time this season. I'm not new to it, but I was pretty rusty from last year since I didn't have much time for it. I live in the Midwest, so there aren't that many good hills. The one I went to though wasn't too crowded because of the -26 degree windchill.

After going down a few times on the easier hills, I got to the advanced, thinking it would all come back to me. I was wrong.

I feel down multiple times, and on one occasion came down the hill so fast I crashed through one of the barriers at the bottom of the hill and fell onto the frozen river. Some people on the sidelines helped me out, and I was banged up pretty good. I did all of this with my back injury, which probably wasn't the best idea. I'm scared my leg (which I fell on after a bad fall), might be sprained.

It's not my fault I wanted to go skiing in my current condition, right?

@Phoenix221I love skiing, and each time I go I feel like you "I can do this!" "It' like riding a bike" (why do people say that because picking up riding a bike is hard after a break of some time lol

I hope you are ok, and don't give up on skiing.
How are you feeling today? Are the bruises healing well? What would you have done differently?

@CocoaCassie I'm feeling better. My bruises are healing, and I'm definitely not giving up on skiing. I love it too much. Next time, I'll try and have more confidence, but I'm definitely going to get scared next time.

It's hard to tell yourself you're going to do something, like "I'm going to do better and not get scared", because most of the time, it falls apart when the situation arises.

I hope that I heal fast to keep skiing.

@Phoenix221I used a lot of arnica lol, it is great for bruises. Also I didn't start skiing till midday when the ice had mostly gone, that made it softer to fall on too.
