Anyone Familiar with Geocaching ?
Newest hobby as of June 2022. I say newest because I don’t have a lot of things I’ll call a hobby/interests !
whoever geocaches , I would love to hear about your experiences with it .
Geocaching is a huge (all over the world) outdoor treasure hunt. It’s a very social group. But for me, I do it alone, 95% of the times because it’s something I enjoy and … need to get out , when im having a rough time (which is on a regular basis)?
@leannescarlett I have come across it and used to go caching with the kids, the main thing is to be careful where you hide them, not near roads and not on private land, and definitely not near snake nests! 😂
It's quite exciting to find a 'cache' the excitement is great. Now with the internet groups it is even more fun.

@MistyMagic ; so sorry for the late response… just have a hard time following notifications from this app.
My coolest finds are actually on Private Properties; yet they are the most awkward places to look for caches… I stopped looking for the micro ones… they are hard, and tiny. I like small to large. You can trade stuff. In my opinion they are more fun .
im currently at 76 finds in two US States (one is home )… but now, it’s harder because mentally not stable to drive a car. So, that makes things harder, you know?
placing cache’s of my own is not something I’m willing to commit too . Finding them is all I can do atm, and only thing I’m willing to do.
@leannescarlett yep the app can be difficult sometimes, but don't worry you can always bookmark the thread and re-visit that way.
Let me share a little story about placing, I had someone place a cache in the bottom of an old tree on my old property, sounds ok, but that tree was in a field of mine that we used for horse grazing on rotation. One of the more playful horses found the box and started to kick it and break it open and then eat the chocolate bar 🙄not good! I moved the cache to a safer place out of the empty fields. So for all cachers, please just because a field is empty don't assume it will stay that way.
And, 76 finds!!! you are doing really well, what is your best find so far and what was the worst?

Now I’m at 81 finds as of two days ago 9/1/22. Lucky enough my friend was free , to come pick me up from a doctors appointment that ran short. Would of had to wait for my mom for an hour, if my friend couldn’t make it. I ended up finding 5 more that’s day
