Praying Mantis, Shot this morning as I was walking into work.
Did you know, they are the one bug that you can actually se their eyes follow you as you move around them.
@braindamag3 wow, so close up and well photographed. did you know that when they're that brownish colour instead of green they've just molted and are extremely exhausted and docile? They make a good subject for photos and art at this time because they'll stay very still! 😊

Thanks, did you know 😁 that there are over 2400 different species of mantis? They date back to the Stone age and originated from Brazil?

the female also eats the male after mating 😂🤣… it helps produce more eggs

That tree is now almost doubled in size. It is a Kentucky Coffee Bean Tree expected to top 100 ft in height.

Thank you! I like photographing butterflies because they are so full of colour shades and textures. And they symbolise the soul's travel through the earthly life... Unfortunately, either I am travelling less now, or there are fewer and fewer of them every year...
@jacek73 You're welcome! I have heard that their numbers are declining, which is such a shame because they're such beautiful helpful little creatures.

I hope your friend likes it here in Poland 👍 I think we might have several things to improve, but still we have many more things to be really happy with (like usually unrestricted access to most of the nature, like woods or riversides).
