The Sun and The Moon together.

Something a little closer to home, The Sun and the Moon meeting up to form a partial eclipse (93%).

The Sun is 400 times bigger than the moon, but it's also 400 times further away which makes them both appear to be the same size in the sky so when they align just right it can form an eclipse, which is sadly not total from my location. Even with that sliver of the sun still shining the sky only dimmed slightly. The next total eclipse here is in 2090, so I'm not sure I'll make that one! 😫
