Keep stopping hobbies I start...

Anyone have an issue with follow through on hobbies or crafts? I don't know why but I find it hard to create something if I don't see a future use or external reward for it. I'll start a bit of art and think No Would Buy This and scrap the whole thing. I know that kind of negates the whole joy of a hobby. I've tried art and digital art, writing, clay, sewing, jewlery, even music production some time back. Jack of all trades, master of none type situation. How do I push through this thought process to be able to enjoy a hobby despite it only benefiting me?

@wriststowine

I find that it can be a part of the depression! I hope things are easier now

I understand where you're coming from. I never have enough motivation to finish the art I create. Just remain inspired by others. Looking at the work of artists that inspire you will make you want to do the same. Have it just for yourself. There are so many places such as these forums, where you can just post your work. I'm sure you'll receive positive feedback, and all this positivity will lead you to create even more! Know that people do care, and want to see more of your work! Soon enough, someone will want to pay for your work, whether its art, music, etc.

If all else fails, nothing is wrong with calling reading a hobby, where you can collect books and suggesting them to others. Watching movies are hobbies, taking a hike, seeing nature and just looking around the neighborhood are all healthy hobbies.
