Part 2

What skills is your foundation made of and how do they apply to your life?

I also believe that Critical Thinking is important, as for critical thinking helps with making informed decisions, informed decision making, and also helps with improving one’s thought process. I like to uphold this skill by utilizing in my daily life, as I like to make informed decisions, and when in situations that require this skill. I also like to utilize critical thinking when the situation is less complex, as I like to maintain increasing this skill. I also like uphold complexity awareness in my daily life being aware of situations and people around. This can be by examining and/or eliminating people around me and situations that are not conducive for me. For example, work, having a negative work environment that is not conducive for my mental health, although I obtain income and love the children there. I had to realize that it was a complex situation but that after numerous negative experiences with higher up, it was not good for my mental health. By me removing myself from this situation, I was able to apply complexity awarenessand critical thinking.

1. What key aspects from the Inner Development Goals Domains is your most important aspect in your life?
2. How does this favorite aspect help you to navigate through life?]

@warmMemory6263

I think Relating is the most important as a listener, because if we can't put ourselves in another person's shoes and cannot effectively show that we care about others in this world, we won't be effective.

On a personal level, this is also important because it helps me with making sure I meet those I love in the place that they are on any given day. Sometimes we're up and other times we're down, and it's important for me to know that my friends and family can rely on me to be supportive, no matter how they are feeling.

@warmMemory6263 My foundation is built on skills such as critical thinking and complexity awareness, which help me make informed decisions and navigate life thoughtfully. Critical thinking allows me to analyze situations, weigh options, and improve my thought process, whether in complex or everyday scenarios. I practice this skill daily by making intentional choices and assessing situations carefully. For example, at work, I experienced a negative environment that affected my mental health despite enjoying the children I worked with. By applying critical thinking and complexity awareness, I recognized the situation was not conducive to my well-being and made the decision to remove myself, prioritizing my mental health while learning from the experience.

@warmMemory6263 I really appreciate how you explained the way critical thinking and complexity awareness work together in your life. It’s not always easy to step back and see a situation for what it truly is, especially when emotions or comfort are involved. Leaving a work enviroment that affects your mental health takes a lot of clarity and courage, and it’s a strong example of using these skills in a meaninngful way.

For me, the aspect that stands out the most is self-awareness and presence from the Bein dimension. When I’m grounded in what I’m feeling and what I need, everything else becomes easier to navigate. It helps me slow down, notice my reactions, and avoid getting caught in automatic patterns. This makes decision making smoother and keeps me from sacrificing my well being just to maintain familarity or please others.

This aspect helps me move through life with more intentionality. Instead of reacting instantly or assuming my first impression is correct, I can pause, observe, and choose a response that actually aligns with what matters to me. It’s not perfect every time, but it keeps me steady and prevents situations from piling up on me emotionally.
