Entry 26 -- A big step forward!

As you might know, this month has been a subtle mix of abject fear and excessive cortisol levels for me. My Aunt insisted I move out at the end of last month. I was petrified -- it felt like nothing could have come through.

I looked at public housing, and waitlists are ridiculous. Likewise, I looked at tiny apartments, and the rent alone made me weep. So I started scouring *** Marketplace -- I found a bunch of rooms that were affordable, but one stuck out. I reached out and got a quick response. From there, everything sort of went perfect! We had a virtual walkthrough, and it's a cute (and huge) house! It looks like it used to be a fraternity/sorority house. The kitchen is huge, and even my room (which was the cheapest of the ones available) is at least twice the size of my current accommodations. The rent is very reasonable, and the area is amazing!

So that's where I've been these past two weeks. This is a whole new chapter, and it feels like I'm getting so much closer to my kids. I can't wait! I'm moving out today, in fact, and heading down to my new place tomorrow.

It's scary, but also exciting. I know I can do amazing things down there, I just have to remember who I am and what I can do!
