My sister in law has always been a horrible, attention seeking person. She can't hold a decent eye to eye conversation with me but chats away to everyone else when I'm out of the room. I've never liked her as she makes stupid decisions in her sad life. She's an alcoholic with 3 children under 8 by 3 different men. 2 of them are just a year apart. What really gets to me is the way she treats her mother which is like a spoilt child whenever she is having one of her alcoholic crazy woman fits if the kids spill her wine over she will pack everything up and just leave without saying a word to anyone as if it's any of our fault. She posts things on Facebook as if her life is from a fairytale, pics of the kids having good birthdays and days out with dramatic captions to go with them when in reality spending just an hour with and all she does is speak to her kids in a stressed out domineering tone. The family will be chatting away and the kids playing nicely and she will just flip out screaming at the kids putting everyone in a silent freeze frame where you feel uncomfortable and like your stepping on eggshells. I think a part of her outrages is to feel like she has control over everyone. I do feel sorry for her kids having her as a mother with her temper. One minute she's asking them for a cuddle the next she's swearing at them and just being immature. Quite honestly I do hate her and wish I didn't care enough to feel hate for her. I would like to pitty her instead.
@navyCurrent8788 urrgh I know how you feel. In laws are the worst. I can't stand mine. I also ever have an eye to eye conversation with SIL
I am not a focking child I am sick of ppl talking and treating me anyway.i'm not a focking joke.Just because I don't always say how I feel don't mean my words aren't important i love when my bad side comes out and get scared at the same time cause it means I am hurt and need to let it out it also means someone will be hurt
Just HAD to vent. Ya think you know somebody until you realize how little they thought of you all along.
My neighbors who I thought were decent people ask for my husband's help on occasion, and he is always happy to oblige, as they are all elderly. He never asks for anything. We've lived around these people for nearly 14 years and never did anything even remotely out of the way.
A few days ago they wanted to know if he knew anyone who could cut down an ugly dead tree out of their yard. Husband knows that my dad Could do it cheaply (with husband's help). Neighbors said name a price. Dad nor hubby felt comfortable doing this as they hadn't yet done the job and didn't want to overcharge them. So husband kindly asks for neighbor to name a price and that it doesn't have to be a lot at all. Well neighbor lady flips out and says she doesn't want to do that because my hubby n dad will just cheat her out of money if she names a price. She says that they will finish the job and then say her price wasn't enough money and try and cheat her! And SHE and her husband were the ones who asked! She asked for it and then ACCUSED my husband and father of trying to cheat her out of money when they put the power in HER hands because they didn't want to overestimate a price!!! Hubby is NOT a damned thief and my dad was a shitty dad in the past but NEVER cheated when it came to money.
All this time they were nice to our faces. I'm irate!!! Naturally husband said find someone else...
I just hate how manipulative is my mom. She does everything she can to get her way it seems. I just HATE people that make others feel bad about themselves because that person wants something out of the other.
I am really disappointed with myself. I can't manage my feelings thoroughly that is causing me to fight with others physically. Sometimes, when I can still control my anger, I can't help it but still think of a plan on how I am going to hurt them. I hate it, but I hate them too.
@understandingTiger3283 Can you practice on walking out when you start getting mad. Go in another room, outside, sit in the car etc whatever it takes to cool down before you talk to that person again. It will take some practice but you can do it. Sometime I have to say I wanna be alone and run out to keep it together. You can also call a hotline or text chat room and talk to somebody even a friend or pray is some of the stuff I do. The thing is to remove yourself from the discussion before you lose control of your temper
Kind of, I guess. I feel sad and lonely and upset. I feel like doing nothing. I guess I am demotivaded and that pretty much sucks
I wish someone wise not all fulls around me.... wondering about meaning of life... why so scared.
Just want someone to listen to me.
Just want to feel safe.
Am I prushering to much?
I am usually a very laid back go with the flow type of person. Last night was very different. I woke up with the extreme urge to destroy things or throw my phone against the wall. Very not like me. Trying to explore these feelings.
Ive been real pissed off on and off for about 4 months about having been taken advantage of, it was so bad but I let it happen, how fucking badly I get hurt by people who just dont give a shit.........its kinda made me be really reactive and angry towards anyone with a shitty attitude towards me....... it could be a good thing but within reason now ive had to reel it in........but it was damaging a dangerous sort of emotional abuse
@Sunshinelollipops81
When we are taken advantage off technically we never allow it. Is not up to us to always try to guess when someone will hurt us. People shouldn't have the porpose of hurting us, period. Is not your fault.
I'm treated like a doormat by some people. Blamed for things that aren't my fault. Treated badly just because it makes them feel better while it makes me feel misterable. They're taking advantage of my timid nature. I've lost sleep over it. My thoughts always go to violence when I'm mad but I know I would never do anything like that. I don't like fantasizing about hurting people.
@ComfyCloud
As a card carrying member of the doormat club, I struggle with this too. Hang in there and work on how to say no, put up boundaries to protect yourself, and only let people close to you who deserve it...not the users and abusers. Meeting with a counsellor a couple times will help you sort it out...maybe through a local hospital or mental health agency. Seriously, talk it out because anger builds up and damages ourselves. Everyone has fantasies from time to time but dont let it escalate to something you cant recover from :) This, too, shall pass is so true...but we can learn and grow stronger from the things that feel like they will destroy us. Ive been watching Jordan Peterson on YouTube for some psychological inspiration...understanding yourself through psychology always helps get you going where you need to go :)
@ComfyCloud
At least you know it's their fault and not yours. Some people are disgusting human beings I'm very sorry for what you're going through.
Isn't there a chance to move to another dorm perhaps?
