Finding peace among the pieces
I usually see myself as a positive minded person. Even through battling depression, I try to find the positive outlook on things to keep my depression in check. During 2020, my depression got worse and I found myself completely unmotivated, broken, and disconnected from my family. It really affected my relationship with my wife and kids.
In the past year, I've found a healthier work environment and have started to find myself again. I'm more motivated and involved with my family. I've started reading more self-help books, losing weight to get back to a healthier me, and helping out around the house again.
We're now in September, and my wife still worries that I'm going to slip back into my deep depression. Despite all of the efforts and progress that I've made, she's still upset that I disconnected for so long during that period. How do I keep my progress going with a spouse that stays angry about things I've been correcting for almost a year now?

I'm sorry that your spouse still worries that you will slip back up.
It must be difficult, when you are trying to stay encouraged and motivated.
You've come a really long way!
I admire that! You're doing great.
I'm glad your healing journey is going well<3💛✨
