I feel like I'm a bad teacher. I feel this way because I'm choosing activities that involve the teacher, me, to speak and set up. I have 3 activities to set up (after creating it, and accumulating the materials).
It feels bad not having the activities at the best.
The second option is to give students audio and reading questions. This was students are busy. The con is - it is boring. There is less student interaction. And I believe that sharing information in pairs or trios help students affirm their perspectives and learn new ones from their classmates.
FML. I don't want to, but I will start using audio and reading questions. in between lessons. It'll do, but it feels bad because it goes against my belief that learning is sharing versus bookwork.

Hello. I am glad that you have shared here. For context I am a university mathematics professor and I often work with future teachers for children of ages 3-18. I admire your commitment to keeping your classroom student and activity focused. I believe your ambitions are good and right. I also know that it is difficult. Sometimes I accept poor activities instead of none at all, just to keep going. Is there a source of activities you can use? You do not need to devise them all yourself. Aside from all of that, sometimes finding even weak activities is not worth the effort. You put so much in everyday, and I am grateful for all that you do as a teacher. I appreciate you and I hope that you can also.
Thank you for being here. Best wishes.
I dont want to participate in interactions at all. I don't want to.
That's stressful to. It's also not safe.
