I hate it when I have to pity someone
I'm selfish. I just feel very uncomfortable and am then reminded of my own situation when confronted with someone else's sap story. I can't help it. I recoil and stay in the depths of my mind, keeping my heart caged, wondering why no one else is giving me love and support when I myself didn't manage to do so for another person.
I just wanted to get this off my chest...
Thank you for sharing @creativeNickel8255
I don't know whether you're selfish so much as you're human and there's nothing wrong with that.
I know from my experience that when you're missing something from other people it's hard to keep in the habit of giving to others. In my experience, and I say this rather hypocritically as I slip up on this sometimes, when I have given up on the caring of others, I've lost a little bit of myself at the same time. I'm not an expert on you and you're the one person that knows yourself best but.. I don't know. That's my experience.
Hey @Roadie, thank you very much for the reply!
I think it is human to think in such a manner. I'm just having a hard time opening up to people and I guess that's what lead to my loneliness. I'm happier now that I don't force myself to be someone I'm not, but this loneliness hides in corners. I hate it.
