I’m a Catholic Christian and the two people I got to know were Mormons.

We have differences in the way we were raised , and till some extent we are from different ideologies, but one thing which is supposed to be common is that we are disciplined and moral comparatively. I don’t expect people who don’t practice their faith as Mormons to be sexually deprave and lack basic values in sexual purity, or be that much hedonistic. I always thought that was a general Christian belief, Mormons are prudes.

For the past 5 years I have been friends with some Mormons and they are the most sexually deprave people I have ever met. It’s not even that they are into sleeping around, but they are just hedonistic for no reason. I expected people who grew up with traditional parents to be semi traditional, but they are completely not that. They may dislike Catholics, or are indifferent to them, but I never expected this from them, I assumed they are supposed to be prudes.

Maybe it’s nature over nurture, but it surprises me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an outlier too, but I preserved some values my parents integrated in me. I guess they are grown adults and can do anything they want, but I thought we would have similar backgrounds on what’s acceptable behavior. I basically find them hoes though I respect them for other reasons.
