Jake

I spent 2 days with an older man in total denial..over his 15 yr. Old dog Jake. And it's was so very heart breaking to watch him for the 20th time if he wanted to go outside, a dog that hadn't been able to walk for a few hours . This dog was one of the last connections to his wife who passed a few years back. She had taken this dog out of horrible conditions. Jake was close to 4 when she died. I know this man struggled hard mentally and emotionally when his wife passed, uncapable of doing so Jake was taken care of by a couple different people. My partner. His daughter, and I couldn't keep him because of the LG dog we had at the time, and we were in the process of moving 3 states away . Jake was given the best life possible, and well taken care of. His "Daddy" came back when he was able and they've lived together since. Happily. The last few months Jake had some health issues and everyone knew that he was in pain. Even though Jake is at rest he is and always will be greatly missed. ❤️
