Sad is thinking you might be the only one who can keep up a passable conversation even though you fundamentally hate socializing but the ones who advertise themselves as sociable (who might not be using a 'I'm a millenial or postmillennial w/a short attention span--lol meme' excuse) barely really respond.

When it comes to the regretful amount of time spent from the early to mid 00's waiting for Simpsons episodes to air..now that I'm old enough to watch things unrestrictedly, from what little I've seen of 'Space ghost coast to coast' and 'Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law'..aside from the reminders and my pondering as to it being precursors of current internet parody humour, I think the humor 'wouldn't have gone over my head' like w/the Simpsons which walked this annoying line btw being crass and trying to be sophisticated and arguably 'overly in-joke-y'/clique-y in the interest of being TV's 'it show' as far as American animation goes.....
...something which would be 'over run' once internet reviewer culture a la 'Channel Awesome' really kicked in*. Crass deconstructive parodies of old Hanna Barbera characters though?, that I think would have been 'an arguably better transition' to off-collar humor b/c of my familiarity w/those old cartoons..
..for those who prefer those characters, esp. the old action based ones like 'Jonny Quest', 'Birdman' and 'Space ghost' 'played straight' in there o.g. action orientation though, I remember once reading through some of this https://www.dccomics.com/graphic-novels/future-quest-2016/future-quest-vol-1 and thinking it was a cool and earnest take/ revitalization.
*Doug Walker having made a humor influence list video once and saying that indeed 'The Simpsons' was one..
