My Experience in Mexico Was Life Changing
My husband and I arrived in Jaurez, Mexico on December 1st. Shortly after, we left for Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico to visit his family and stayed at one of his sister's houses. We just got back home in the USA on the 26th. My time there was far more of an experience than I expected; good and bad. The lesson I learned the most from my trip is this, count your blessings and be grateful for everything that you have. I am thankful that I am strong enough that I can sit up and run my fingers across this keyboard. I am thankful I live in a country where freedom still exists. I am thankful I have a good, water tight roof over my head, food to eat, and clothes to wear. I am thankful I have clean water to drink and fresh air to breathe. There are truly less fortunate and poor people out there that only make a few peso's a week and can only choose one or the other. But one thing they have that I don't is a family that sticks by them through thick and thin. I think the president Obama is a little harsh on immigration when I see the true colors. These people are just trying to come and make a better life for themselves and their children. Well, I hope some people understand my story.
Thank your sharing your story, it certain hits home just how lucky we are when we hear of hardship and poverty other families are living through.
Please take care !
Having an attitude of gratitude is an amazing thing <3
