My father contacted me by email after 20 years and wants to meet. Help?
Parents divorced when I was 10. We gradually stopped seeing each other and haven't been in contact for 20 years. I now have a family, job, kids... he found me and contacted me by email wanting to meet(he has lived less than 10 miles away all these years). Some days I feel excited. Some days I feel angry. If I do meet him, what the heck should I say? How do you forgive your father for not being there when you needed him the most? Any advise?

By now you may have made a decision, or something may have changed, but I wanted to say hello and that I empathise with your situation.
You must have so many questions for him and you mind must be a thousand thoughts of what if's and if only's, I think what I would do is to take a deep breath and think. Write a list. I love writing lists, put questions and answers and lots of little things like feelings and emotions and then maybe decide to just write a short hello back? Your decisions doesnt need to be now why not write back and email for a while?
