Delighted to know about this venue within the forums. Can definitely understand if a moderator would message me after this to clarify things with me.
(i)I wasn't being ripped off at EB games. It s---ks that the 4 games, I recieved for my birthday will add up to the value of one used game and one which I feel ambivalent about.
(ii)Buy [..] after work on Wednesday?. Too impatient to wait until the holidays and anxious about the 3DS being phased out.
(iii) it would 'make my day' to find either of the two games on my mind in cartridge form at EB games sooner than later. I don't like the idea of going to a pawn shop*..hate downtown area.
(iv) If a physical cartridge and attainment of 1/2 via the Nintendo account, plenty left for the ones I have my interest only 'piqued' in but not too much.
*Gracious to my mom for buying me 'The legend of Zelda: Link's awakening DX' years ago during the early 00's. I wonder if the only way to surpass the one series of 'holes and rocks' was seriously w/the 'magic feather' for jumping '_' ?..b/c it would be a drag if hypothetically I ran into the trouble on the Switch version " ^_^.

Methinks that a fair amount of me not being able to distinguish the words as being other than homophonic might come from how* I don't know where to place the diacritic/accent symbols.
On a less relevant note--I know that my pronounciation isn't always on the ball--always have had trouble doing the 'trilling r' like when you say 'but' and 'dog'
*something which I know doesn't always care into computer typing but is unfortunate to not know anyhow.

One of the 'scariest' moments playing videos games for me resulted in me almost dropping my cousin's DS from being spooked when Giratina swoops down the one mountain, up close to the bottom screen and w/that 'screech-y roar'.
The reason I feel guilty-ish for haivng deleted ~'New super mario bros 2' on the 2DS is even though I'm not too fond of it, my mom is in the sense that it's one of the few games she's familar enough w/ to play and it's better to 'be active' in that sense than the passivity of mediocre Netflix movie watching, casino gaming or arguing w/my dad.
I dare to say how I think I am 'lightly (?)' masochistic. In a sense. There is the kind experienced w/in 'intimacy' which could be seen as ludic result of 'cutting loose' entirely and exploring boundaries as a result, but in all honesty I don't hope to achieve that. And then there is the kind which always makes for the pressure, self-pressure of being able to get up and do chores, put up w/stuff for longer periods of time..b/c in a sense your willing to take a different kind of risk which comes from aversion, which from evaluation rather than the 'pragmatics' of exploring and 'getting what you want'.

Consider how 'the 50's' happened ~70 yrs ago. Consider stereotypes about old ppl being fussy and 'conservative'. Consider how persons who be in 'retirement' mode grew up w/in a sphere if not outright contributed to counterculture movements from the late 50's - 70's yet still get the run-of-the-mill ridicule* of being stodgy and stubborn even though it's fair to speculate that they might very well have been as 'out-of-control' and rebellious in their behaviour when they '20-somethings' like a fair amount of the internet culture demographic who gets attention are*.
You can make a case for genre in media becoming less relevant, you can make a case for overcommodification and overproduction touching anything which goes popular or mainstream and lucrative..but when you ignore or pretend that entire demographics who obviously had a role in the emergence of something are irrelevant in their problems you lose some respect in my eyes.
*An example?: the two seasons of 'The get down' on Netflix. The focus on hip-hop during the late 70's when it was still intertwined and growing out of disco and underserved urban areas where ppl were less likely to have access to instruments or formal vocal education...Snoop Dogg, Will Smith and Jay-Z were still kids if not barely teens during those days..yet after the explosive impressions of the 90's when you think 'black culture' methinks that 75%+ of the times hip-hop or pop and R&B** and it shows on a global scale whether you are looking at pop music in France, Indian, Egypt or Colombia.
Not 'soul' a la 50-70's not even jazz which had to climb into the curriculum of American music education over the course of ~100 yrs to be held on par w/ classical/Western instrumental music but hip-hop. It makes sense in a way given how minimalistic the resources it entails are vocal talent which is lyrical but not singing per-se,music software and a few instruments of choice (though not a full professional symphony usually) and younger black ppl might get attention b/c of it and get their struggles expressed. But how about the older ones?, do they still wind up being ignored a/o underserved b/c their vehicle of expression not being 'as contemporary'?, do they still wind up being ignored a/o underserved b/c their vehicle of expression not being 'as contemporary' even after having been evident witnesses if not involved in the socio-mechanistic/institutional upheavals last mid-century?.
** '__' seriously is that even still a thing?, Usher seems semi-retired at this pt. and the media landscape is too dissimilar from the early 90's for someone like 'the Weeknd' to get the same sort of recognition imo
This all came from someone who irregardless of language typically prefers non-lyrical music.
I think, I remember a 'behind the scenes' video where 'Lil'Nas X' mentioned 'bringing country to the hood'. I felt like rolling my eyes. If more attention was payed to older black ppl, those who remember being children from the aftermath or maybe even part of the 'the great migration' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCdTyl141bA) and who believe or not are not too fond of hip-hop or might have even disparaged it as some pt. the connection btw country music and the blues in a marginalized community would not be overlooked.
Also consider how if we were talking about hip-hop's history in Britain and the black community there, I wouldn't be surprised if reggea and Carribean culture and music had an more involved role there than the different diversity of music produced by black ppl in American history.
