As somewhat hokey as the song and music video for Katy Perry's 'Dark horse' is, particularly when listening to the instrumental version*, I like the idea of ancient Egypt in the music video. With the lyrics, I'm reminded of 'Ramses of the damned' by Anne Rice which I '_' really could see adapted as an effective R-rated supernatural romance movie compensating for both the Tom Cruise 'The mummy' and 'Twillight' movies to an extent. Makes me feel like seeking out 'Queen of the damned' movie and watching it--a difference from ~20 yrs ago now watching the spooky/cool trailers for it on a 'pay-per-view' preview channel while living w/cousins*.

* b/c I would like to see if that tone could catch on w/mummies--when you really think about it movies versions are really a 'special kind of zombie' albeit with specific cultural tropes. I watched a 'Maven of the Eventide' review of the movie once and wonder if Anne Rice's 'love-hate' swinging w/Catholicism is that close to me before arriving at the closure of disengagement.

On another note maybe more relevant to non-Jahiliyyah ;/ era current day Egyptians, I skimmed through the graphic novel 'Infidel' yesterday--I can 'verify' it was basically like an 'Islam relevant' version of 'Get out' with a focus on a female protagonist and even more 'supernatural stuff' (Ifrit(s)(?)) than 'Get out' had. It was neat. Writing down lists of novels or even graphic novels** which could make for good live action adaptations or such could make for good journalling entries

Im surprised by how there isnt as much art, abstract plot conceptual based on hydrocarbons drawings. I wouldnt really feel right undertaking that given how I no longer know anywhere as much chemistry as I used to.

With my mixed feelings and having stopped functionally watching it around ~'09(?) maybe, I'd like to say how one thing that I never liked about the Simpsons* is how it demonstrated bullying in a complacent and highlighted way. Yes, you could say it was pt. of Groening's critique of education on a broader level, but considering how the show was 'innovative' in animation it's crass,risque humor** which had more of a sensibility to it than previous attempts by Ralph Bakshi and Robert Crumb but d--- it when it comes to bullies I hate how harrassers like Dolph, Jimbo, Kearney and Nelson were usually so accepted throughout the show-- >:I esp. Nelson and that d---n laugh!.

To this day, whenever I imagine possibly being judged a/o ridiculed 'the power' of that stupid laugh and voice still comes up. W/my thoughts/memories being fuzzy on Dolph I realize how when it came to the other three including Nelson there were moments meant for sympathizing for them but speaking as someone who stopped watching where the show went after ~'08-09 considering the crass, gag nature of the show I doubt that it went anywhere consequential and it's more likely that more recent mature animation likee 'Big mouth' or 'Bojack horseman' probably go into bullying being a sympthon of kyriarchic expressions like classism or mental unwellness like an inferiority complex..and you would hope that with that awareness, humor like that would go the way of old suicide related jokes which you might come across in say old 'Looney Tunes' or 'Tom and Jerry' cartoons..

..=_= given how d-- prevalent, how d-- 'non-scarce' such attitudes are in a world of scarcity, scarcity with self-decieving populaces, I'm not bemused by what pre-10's Simpsons contributed anymore than what South Asians got with years of Apu..

*in this era where there might be insightful video essays and such explaining the show

** which to this still is still prevalent in being borderline the only sort of thing that makes for mature Western animation,-- -_- makes me glad for all the time when anime provided for my action animation sating--h there have been a handful of earnest attempts recently with DCUA original movies being an encouraging pt. w/it's corporate clout production, different from either of the Heavy metal movies from decades ago.

I read like the the first three collected volumes of the Gwenpool run and I can understand the differences and similarities to Deadpool. Btw seeing the panels from both Gwendolyn and Wade..^_^ *u* aahh!!..*it's so darn 'charming' how Marvel has expanded delightfully on 'gag' characters in the '10's!.

*I realize that it's come with the contributions and criticism to the corporate inertia of the MCU

Too bad I don't really read comics any longer, believe it or not. Props to anyone who has enjoyed the more 'gag' Marvel characters..Howard the duck, Squirrel girl, Moon girl and devil dinosaur..

Personally: When it comes to changing notions of attractiveness, I must consider how *'flatness' was unwittingly averted in pornography most of the time.

How to feel less obsequious--b/c being a persistent follower, being that way in major part b/c of the lack of 'cognitive reimbursement' for taking risks can leave a person functionally like that in major ways, major ways which lead to dangerous intrapersonal stewing and expressive inflexibility.
