Share what's on my mind. Good idea. :-(
I know you're not suppose to mention usernames but I am anyway because I have no way of letting anyone know about this listener and I wasn't able to leave a comment or to complain since she coded me (1001).

There. So what's the problem? A complete lack of involvement and interaction. The problem isn't that she wouldn't listen. She would listen without saying a thing. And then she would give simple advice in short little sentences. When I pointed out that she didn't seem interested, she just told me to say whatever I was feeling. Again, she was silence after I did that. After I shared some more, she stopped replying and that was that. I really thought with her experience and background, she would be more engaging but I was very wrong.
My final overall rating: two stars. Pretty sad, actually.
@Ranmusic
Hey there, thank you so much for being so honest about your experience with your listener, and I am so so sorry that you were connected with someone who wouldn't actually listen to you! I've been there myself, and it's sometimes physically painful to be ''listened to'' in such a way.
I know it feels like you can't do anything when a listener blocks you, but if you email community@7cups.com, the community managers can look into what happened, and take steps to adress the behaviour of the listener, and believe me, those reports make a massive difference. If you ever feel that your voice isn't listened to on 7 Cups, please believe me that those reports have power. We want to work with listeners who struggle to support members, so that everyone gets the support that they deserve. In this case, it sounds like the block may have been unwarranted, in which case again, the CMs are on it.
Thank you for speaking out about your experience, 7 Cups would be nothing without people like you who are willing to speak up and take steps to adress the problems that they see. Moving forward, you can ensure that you only get good quality listeners by selecting ''Verified Listener'' in the drop down menu here and you can then take your pick of the listeners. Listeners don't get marked as verified until they've got a good few chats under their belt and they've sucessfully passed a mock chat with an experieced listener. There's also a program where listener mentors enter themselves into the General Request queue, and then anonymously evaluate the listeners who answer the request - believe me, we're striving all the time to ensure listener quality, and the system is by no means perfect, but we're doing our best, and without you, that wouldn't be possible!
