This site is a distraction if I pitch hopes on listeners, *DA has always been a distraction w/it's art sure, but it's suffered since the shift to the 'Eclipse' interface, even when it comes to searching and search results, I swear =_=
*Pinterest is starting to look good to me for art, at long last.
On psychforum 'you better know what you're doing' since there is no 'take backs' to edit and expecting it to appear can take a while. Expect even less attention over there if that's what you seek for whatever reason.
*chucle* I'm not really getting any closer to continuing with that short story if it means spending time rummaging through old Word files which ultimately are not too relevant.

It's shouldn't be considered useless,worthy of ridicule or nerdy to actually fixate on 'theories of fun', theories as to what makes something enjoyable anymore than theories of beauty or humor*.
'A theory of fun for game design' by Raph Koster is appreciated for that reason even if it's a bit dated now (published in '05) and usually keeps focusing on video games specifically.

Sometimes if it's not the 'strain' of work which will drain you it'll be 'time allocation'/scheduling of it which will do you in, contrary to the seemingly shortsighted and inflammatory understandings of those who espouse being representative(s) of 'blue collar grind culture' et al.
You only get a lot of painful pressuring if you only ever pour over/invest yourself in theory w/out actively practising stuff.
