What is the true you?

They say people wear 4 masks.

One for strangers and the people you just meet.

One for your boss, co-worker, acquaintances, and teachers.

One for your friends and peers.

One for your family and loved ones.

Only when you are by yourself, you take off your mask.

So what is the true you underneath these masks? Have you ever taken off your mask before to someone?

@SenpaiXD

I feel like I can only be my "true" self online, although much of my online time is spent with a mask on as well. In my face to face interactions I feel unable to speak, much less be "myself".

But then again who I "was" always sort of shifted according to who I was around so....

shrugs.

Alright. This is a safe zone, so I'll tell the truth. I might get a warning for this, or even a ban.

On the outside, I am a compassionate, caring person

On the inside I am evil, malicious, and violent.

I've never bullied or abused anyone, I think the last time I said a swear word was 2 years ago.

I act disgusted and horrified when I see someone in pain, but inside it brings me pleasure

I have a desire to harm people, but I know this is wrong and I'd rather die before I hurt anyone in the slightest

I don't know how to tell my parents, they already hate me enough, want to kick me out, if they found out they would lock me in an asylum making up some story about how I tried to hurt them or something just to get away from me

There is a lot of other stuff I can describe but I'm afraid it will be too triggering for some viewers

I just wanna be normal

But I guess this is okay

It's okay but I'm kind of glad that I was tagged because that caught my attention to something that definitely needs to be heard.

It must be so stressful to have those harmful urges simmering right underneath your skin all the time, and I gotta say I'm so proud of you for not giving into them. It sounds like you're really self aware and you know that hurting others isn't right. You're unbelievably strong and I encourage you to keep fighting. <3

Yep, I agree it is often to say stuff online than in real life. The fact of a confrontation can be a frightening thought.

My true self exists as two warring worlds. My super ego and my ID, I suppose. They have become much quieter in the last month, but are beginning to argue more often. To be insecure or untouchable. To be loving or angry. To accept, with grace, all disappointments; or to never condone when I feel disgraced. To be cold, or honest. I often feel that when I'm honest, people think I am being too emotional, and when I try to distance myself from it, people think I am being cold. I have been able to find balance recently. However, today, some things are really pushing my buttons. I don't know who I really am, as a hurricane is not a human.

You should really take the time to evaluate yourself deeply. Some questions you can ask yourself can be

What are your strengths?

What are your weaknesses?

What do you love about yourself?

What do you want to change about yourself?

Evaluate these about yourself every single month. I do this every month to make sure I am potentially improving. If you want a list of questions to ask yourself, I will post below.
