my journal: various subjects, opinionating, CW at times
The title explains itself.
If you're interested in the ramblings of a middle-aged man with chronic conditions who, at times, sees things a little too clearly for his own good, then read on.
Sometimes I get political, but it won't be all the time.
I don't mind comments in general but if you're going to differ with what I write, that's fine--as long as you can explain your position clearly & reasonably. Rants, shouting & general incoherence will be ignored or flagged, depending on the situation. Try to remember that not everyone else in this world holds your beliefs.
Every so often I may post art or snapshots of projects I'm working on.
If you're still interested after reading all the above, great. (I do wonder at how much time you have on your hands, though)
...f**kin
Between one condition & another at the same time...

If I were an automobile:
- My make & model would be at least 20 years old.
- I'd run but I would also have issues...& wouldn't pass an emissions test anywhere in the US. Ever.
From a survey of corporations that have adopted AI into their workflows & manufacturing:

Interesting, but we will have to see further down the road. And also prove that such surveys aren't also being generated by AI .... @slowdecline48
There was that cold front that swept the continent for almost a week. Then we had a couple days where it was sunny & warm...now it's cold as f*** again. Florida weather in February...

Why do I even take an antidepressant anymore?
It isn't doing much good now, far as I can tell...
@slowdecline48 Maybe the dose needs increased? Or maybe something new? I'd talk to the doctor that prescribed it and tell them it's not working. I know some meds you can't quit cold turkey too. You have to wean off them
@mytwistedsoul True. I'd like to get off mine, but it would involve tapering over a period of weeks...wouldn't mind doing it, though
@slowdecline48 You might have built up a tolerance to it. There no point to continue taking it if it's not working
I've found a couple reasons to be happy today...four, actually:

Ag price per unit up 175% in a year's time
How do you break your boredom?
@slowdecline48
(an unhealthy amount of fiction)
@unassumingEyes It's funny how you posted an answer...in a dream, I was in some kind of job where I had to translate documents into English. The documents I was given were all in some Urdu-like language. I don't know a word of Urdu... 🤷🏼♂️
...no boredom while that was going on. 😂
@slowdecline48 ha! but you do know a word of urdu. You just dont know what it looks like:
بچاری لڑکی
Bechari larki
Altho, I hope theres no job (dream one or not) that has you translating that

something to remember
...even so, I'm still dazed this morning
I am dazed every morning at the moment. @slowdecline48
Well, phuck. ☹️ That ain't good...
Do you know why you get vertigo every morning? Have you gotten any medical attention for it? If it's something chronic then...welcome to the club. That is all I can tell you.
No, thanks. It is just tons of stuff piled on top of one another for over a year. Currently it's my dad being in hospice for 6 months, two eye surgeries one tomorrow and one the following Monday, and a hostile workplace claim that was begun on my behalf that I don't really want but can't stop. @slowdecline48
@bestVase7265 😕 That's a lot of hot steaming 💩 on your plate, dear... You didn't deserve any of that. I hope the eye surgeries go well & that you see better afterwards.
Thanks. It continues to be a dizzy roller coaster but I will keep trying. @slowdecline48
