Breast Cancer Genetics Test

I just got my test for genetics to test for breast cancer gene.  My mother had gotten breast cancer at age 34, stage 4.  I was around 7-8 years old.  I've already been doing my mammograms and mri.  Alternating every six months.  With this test I'll see if I need to keep doing that or what my options are.  My mother had gotten breast cancer a second time, only this time it was everywhere.  She passed away during surgery, I think they were removing some organs that had a lot of cancer on it.  I was 18.  

My mother was very mentally abusive but I always figured there was something wrong with me or it was the cancer making her that way.  I'm not going to say what she said here as this is a post more about cancer then anything.  Wish me luck that I missed that gene!  I'll update when I get the results but they said it could take about a month or so.
