🥰difficulties with my father.💬🙍

Today I had a talk face to face in a cafe with father after some time, honestly is nice to try to have an honest talk, yet it feels like we are both actors. I still struggle to have deep talks with him, while i can talk about certain things . He does not take critics very well, he kinda tends to try to manipulate the conversation to look as if everything he did was right. Probably this is his salesman mentality and treats everything as a business, tending to brute force his ways. I probably inherit a lot of things from him, so in a lot of times feels like we are negotiating terms and to see who can manipulate the other. I told him i have trust issues with him, and there is friction between the two of us. He tends to oversimplify things. So at the end it looks like we are both actors and we try too hard to have a normal conversation that end up looking like our difficulties make the most simple of things utterly hard.
