Becoming My Own Safe Place
Some people don’t stay in our lives, but what they teach us does. 🫶
As I’m growing older, I’m beginning to understand that not every connection is meant to last. Some people come into my life quietly, stay for a short while, and leave without the kind of ending I once thought I needed.
Before, I used to hold on — trying to find meaning in their absence, wondering what I could have done differently, or hoping for clearer closure. But now, I’m learning that not every story needs a perfect ending to be meaningful.
What truly stays is not the person, but the way they changed me — the awareness they brought, the boundaries I learned to set, and the parts of myself I discovered along the way.
At 27, I’m no longer trying to keep everyone. I’m learning to keep the lessons instead.
And maybe that’s what growth really looks like — not who stays, but what stays within me.

I believe it’s the most powerful feeling to find that sort of safety, comfort and peace within ourselves. Like our own safe sanctuary that is hard to disturb or interrupt by the outside forces.
Way to go youuu! So so proud of you for trying and for growing, on and for glowing berry much along the way! 💛🎀
