Entry 7 -- Things I like about myself

- Sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and I think "Dang she's cute" like it's someone else.
- Because of an injury, I keep my pinkie up whenever I pick up a drink. It's force of habit at this point, but it also makes me feel fancy.
- Lately, I just sing whenever I feel like it. I used to think no one wanted to hear it -- but I ain't doin' it for no one else!
- The phrase "It's okay to walk away; to choose people who bring light into our life, not darkness" has been emblazoned on my bones. I have learned to gray-rock anyone else.
- I bought a cheap baseball hat from Goodwill about a year ago, despite not really liking to wear them. Now, it sits next to me and I put it over my lamp if the room feels too bright. It's kinda perf.
- Oh, I absolutely love that I speak in Valley Girl-isms like "sitch", "perf" and "obvs".
- I feel ready for a relationship now more than ever: I am finally open to love.
