Biromantic

So I first identified as bisexual because I had a strong Romantic and sexual attraction to girls and guys. But over the couple of months, I have started noticing that I have become less sexual attractive and don't really want to be in a sexual relationship. I'm fine with the holding hands, hugging and kiss part, just not the sex part. So I have been questioning a lot recently. I still really like girls and some boys, just not a sexual relationship. Emotional? Probably. And then I started overthinking if I can identity as another thing. Like can I suddenly be biromantic?

Hello @smolstrawberries

It's normal to lose sexual interest. Sometimes we go through periods of our life where we just don't want sex. It could be triggered by stress, medication, hormones, or something else. It doesn't necessarily mean that you are asexual. That being said, it is still possible that you are asexual. Some asexual people have felt sexual attraction is the past but no longer do, and it is completely valid. It doesn't take away from your sexuality, it justs adds more to your story :) Whether or not you choose to label yourself asexual is up to you, but whatever your decision is, it is completely valid. Also, it is okay to be wrong. You can say that you are asexual and then later realize that you aren't. You can say that you are not asexual and then realize that you are. You are valid no matter what <3 If you want to chat about what is going on, feel free to message me :)

@SnailPurple

hello! Identity is a process and it can be hard to find a label that fits you. in my opinion it can take some time to discover that for yourself, but in the meantime, trying labels can help! no matter what you identify as, you are completely valid and if later on you discover that doesnt fit anymore, great!

I'd also like to suggest that labels aren't everything, and they can be kind of confining sometimes.so dont feel pressured to slap a label on yourself if you dont want to just yet! its totally your choice.

also, it does sound like you could be asexual and biromantic. asexuality is a spectrum and not everyones experience is the same so i encourage you to explore that!

good luck and i wish you well :)
