I feel asexual but...

I feel a lot of pressure because never been in relationship and never had sex like most of people my age. And sex is topic in everywhere: music, movies, books, series and jokes.

And sometimes I wonder if I'm really ace or I just feel easy to say that cuz in real life I'm just weird and not attractive enough to be with anyone and also... kinda scary and too shy for having sex....

Hello @PurpleAcid , an asexual here.

Asexuality is all about (lack of) attraction, not action. Your actions actually have zero impact on your attraction. The same goes for your looks or struggles like anxiety or shyness.

I hope being blunt in my wording doesn't make you uncomfortable, but I think asking yourself this could help you figure yourself out better:

Have you ever looked at a (non-fictional) human person and have gotten sexually aroused because of them?

If the answer is no, then you're probably asexual.
If the answer is very rarely, or once or twice maybe, then you're probably grey-asexual.
If the answer is 'only after I got emotionally close to that person', then you're probably demisexual.

This has nothing to do with the desire to date people or be close with someone or even to kiss someone. Asexuality is purely about a lack of sexual attraction and nothing else. Libido also has nothing to do with it.

You can be insanely attractive and still have no sexual attraction. You can also be sexually active and have no sexual attraction towards the people you're sleeping with.

You said you feel asexual, which is mostl likely an indicator that you are. The complete lack of sexual is a stark contrast to the oversexualized world we live in. So if you feel that you're different from the allosexuals, then you probably are.

Hope this helps! Good luck on your journey ~💜

Thank you for reply.

According to what yu wrote I should be asexual... BUT it's not so easy for me cuz according to what non asexual people say ,, maybe I haven't meet the right person yet" and this is kinda true cuz I never been in relationship and never met the "right guy" and sometimes I just wonder if I stared consider being asexual because of I relly feel that or is it just because I feel insecure and stand out from my peers and this is why I treat asexuality as something like excuse for being single and not experienced in sexual activities.
