Pressure
ive known I’m asexual for years, and I’m pretty certain of my sexuality. But lately I’ve just been realizing all these people around me and my age have been having sex, when I naively thought that only a select few were actually doing it. I’m feeling a lot of pressure to actually do it, despite me never being romantically involved with anyone. And I don’t actually want to do it yk. Ig the pressure is coming from the media and it’s just overwhelming.

My friend - dare to be yourself (in the name of Jesus!). I was 33 before i did have intercourse, my youngest brother also. Why should others determine our way in life? In my 20th. and early 30th. I was dancing, doing sport, travelling, seing friends went to the opera, theater, went for walks. My love - there are other things in life than sex! Dare to be different - dare to have a higher standard! (Many churches also have this standard that I'm talking about). God really bless you.

I get you-- as an asexual, I've had feelings of feeling judged and worried about being the odd one out.
But I decided for myself that there's no need to force myself. As an asexual, I've never felt the need to say I absolutely won't have sex. In the same way, there's no need for me to say I absolutely will have sex.
However things go, stay true to yourself. Think about what you want, and make sure you're not doing something just because you think that's what others expect. There's no need to hurt your own heart just because others seem displeased.
I hope all is going well for you!
I felt the same way and eventually bent to the pressure of "just trying it out" and it's one of my biggest regrets.
Not because having sex was a big deal to me, but because it set a precedent in my mind that I didn't have to want to have sex to do it.
It's hard to navigate but please try to remember that you're supposed to WANT any sex you have. It's fine to not want it, it's not fine if you're having it despite not wanting to. If you don't want to do it, it's not worth trying in my experience.
