Greetings to the community!

Hello… I’m new to 7 Cups—just reaching out to say hello. I’m a fiftysomething married lesbian, currently spending a large amount of time away from my home, helping a family member. I’m glad to be able to help, but I feel pretty isolated. This is a deeply conservative and religious town, and I’m having a hard time finding LGBTQ community—or even spaces that feel friendly/safe—nearby.

I’ve never joined a support forum before, but after reading through the posts on here, I thought I’d give it a try. It actually feels good even to just write this and know there are friendly voices out there!
