Already in the second week of October, and this Tuesday is National Coming Out Day! While there is no one way to come out, and coming out is a personal journey, National Coming Out day can be a day to celebrate and support each other, out or still closeted.

I'm glad to hear you were able to meet a long-time friend, but can definitely relate to the struggle of not having enough time! So many priorities can eat up our day in no time. Not to mention that ideally we spend about 1/3 of our time sleeping, and if we try to reduce that the resulting exhaustion often just costs us even more time than if we'd just rested instead! 😭
Actualization and freedom sound like excellent words to describe coming out! While it involves telling others, I find it is often more about accepting yourself and claiming the space that is your truth and hoping others will honor the butterfly you have always been inside that cocoon.
Self reflection, living your truth when you can, and finding like minded people can be a great way to sort of fill up that "closet" with acceptance, your truth, and occasional visitors who know the password. I agree those things can sort of give us a bigger and more comfortable closet where we do what we can to stay safe instead of just being a dark and lonely place to hide in.
