Anxiety about getting more intimate

I'm in a relationship with my bf (we are both guys) and I'm constantly thinking about if we were to get sexual. With it comes alot of anxiety and straight up fear. Of course I like him alot, but it's mostly fear upon position. We really haven't talked about them much but we can kinda read it from each others overall personality and body language. Overall I'm asking for some sort of help to quell these feelings of anxiety so I won't in result me over thinking everything. Thanks in advance. x

@Zforever well, when it comes right down to it, I think the best way to feel less anxious about these kinds of things is to just talk about it with your boyfriend. To me, a good rule to have is that if you're not ready to talk about it, you're probably not ready to do it. So, it's okay to take your time. If you're not ready, or are too anxious, then you don't have to do anything yet. But, if you feel you are ready and want to take things further, then an open dialogue can get rid of any remaining unknowns. I know it sounds kind of awkward, but having that conversation can help build your bond, and make sure you're both comfortable, know what to expect, and are ready.

@TaranWanderer thank you, for the insight definitely talking about it should be a first step but I always hold back alot of what I say cause I feel upsetting people. Which I should fear because I can't control how others react but only how I can, so I should definitely be more transparent about how I feel.
