Complicated

I’m in a really complicated relationship right now, and I hope I’m posting this in the right place. I’m a 30yo gay (technically pansexual) transgender guy. That’s a mouthful lol. But my best friend and I (23yo cis male) have fallen in love, and we’ve been dating for almost two years. The complication comes from my partner’s personal journey with his own sexuality. He identified as heterosexual before we started dating, but now identifies as bisexual. Although he doesn’t mind most people knowing about our relationship, he hasn’t told his mom, and he would be embarrassed to admit his sexuality at work (he’s an electrical apprentice and works construction wish all the macho men who would tease him). He’s come so far and I’m so proud of him, but keeping our relationship so secret makes me feel like in some ways he’s embarrassed to be dating me, which makes me feel second class. I don’t know what to do. Our relationship is so solid and so lovely, I wish we could be openly dating like a normal couple.

There is nothing wrong with privacy . Nobody needs to know what goes on with you sexually . Be thankful you have each other . Sometimes you just have to do what ya have to do. I don’t see any benefit of him letting people know . Just keep it private besides it makes it more exciting !
