Depressed and feeling stranded
Im a 22 years old gay top currently living in kakuma refugee camp,at one time i also had a normal life like any other person until my parents and the whole community found out i was gay and was in an active gay relationship. At that moment my life took a complete turn and my life was at risk because being a homosexual in my country is unacceptable by law and the community at large, i survived a series of attacks which claimed the life of my partner due to homophobic people who wanted to kill me and some where actually sent by my actual parents because they thought i deserved to be killed for being gay . I tried all possible ways of surviving within my country uganda but failed due to the persecution, so i fled to the nearest country kenya where i seeked for asylum and was taken into the refugee camp. Little did i know that in the camp my life will be at risk even more that it was in my country due to the presence of hostile and homophobic refugees like the sudanese and somalis not forgetting the native turkanas of kenya, at this point I'm so stuck and vulnerable since i cant evem get a job and even the concerned persons are also homophobic like the police,Literally im living in fear for my life, with this post i send it as a beacon of hope to whoever would want yo help me or know more of my life story and current situation please stretch out to me because maybe you can help save my life.
