recently, ive been feeling very dysphoric and with the transphobia of my mother it feels like things keep getting worse. i love dressing feminine but it feels like even that is being ruined for me. i just want to be seen as a feminine boy and not a woman :/

@brickwall8

Hi! It is so nice to meet you! I understand how hard dealing with dysphoria can be. Do you have any support?

I understand what you are saying @brickwall8 its tough, as a cys born male realizing i am genderqueer i hate being called sir. I want to be seen more feminine and feel like i can’t gender express in public openly. Partly cause of my wife and im not sure about the rest. I have only came to this conclusion in the past few months but having family not understanding does not help. Have you tried dressing more androgynous or gender neutral?

something to think about, i hope you are able to be seen the way you way to. Wish you all the best fam!

hi!

I'm really sorry about your mother, I'm dealing with sort of a similar issue.

I'm not sure if this will be helpful to you, but I wanted to try and help.

It doesn't completely relieve dysphoria, but on days where I feel really dysphoric i want for my parents to go to bed, and I take a bubble bath, but I fill it with a lot of bubbles. I actually first found this tip on a dysphoria article, but I can't remember which one (really sorry about that). The warmth can be helpful for relaxing, and the bubbles usually cover the dysphoric areas. If you have a nightlight or candles, putting them in the room and turning off the main light might be helpful too! Just make sure to do it safely, where the candles won't be dangerous and you can still see enough so that you can get in and out safely :)

Again, not sure if this will help you, but I hope so and I hope the pain eases soon :)
