I need advice
I'm a pan trans male who's 14 about to be 15 in July, and ive been so overwhelmed by many things but mostly about hiding my identity and having to act like someone im not. I'm only out to a few close friends who support me but I want to come out to my family who may be a bit homophobic and religious but I don't know how. I'm scared to tell them in person. I'm also a bit stressed about the coming school year since I want people to know me as me and not by my deadname or as a trans guy if you know what i mean but thinking about it is already making me really anxious.

First of all, coming out is terrifying so don't feel bad if you're unsure. Some people will absolutely support and embrace you but there is a good chance that others won't. It's up to you if you want to take that risk. I personally would be rather be myself even if it means I lose some friends and get some weird looks. But If coming out would put you in danger, don't do it. if your family is traditional it will likely take time for your parents to come around. so start slowly, maybe just tell one and once they've accepted it they can help you come out to the rest of your family.

Thank you I appreciate the advice, It really is scary to come out but I think it might be safe if I do, I'm thinking about coming out to an older cousin who I know is supportive of me and maybe then I'll build the courage to come out to everyone else. I think I might be ready to face the fact that they might not support me but honestly I think my friends supporting me is enough :)
@Ace0719
i'm about a year younger than you, so basically in the same boat. my immediately family is (mostly?) supportive, though, so family isn't something i have to worry about, but then the rest of the world... he he....
i am completely terrified as well. what with all the transphobia in this world as of late, it's not surprising. but if you find one person - just one - who accepts you (and there has to be at least one), everything else doesn't matter.
bottom line, if you want to come out - come out. don't let worrying about it hold you back. i know from experience that there's nothing worse than hiding who you are, especially from the people who you care about the most.
just keep holding on ❤️

Hey thank you for the advice I truly appreciate it! And I've honestly come to terms of the fact they might not support me but it's ok as long as I have my friends, they've always been there for me and I'm glad that your family mostly supports you and I agree the rest of the world is truly scary due to all of the transphobia but i like to think that we will be ok because whether we know it or not someone will have our backs. I may not know you personally but I'll have your back! :))
@Ace0719
thanks, ace. cheering you on!
I understand how you feel. As far as your parents, whether they accept it or not, I know it’ll be hard if they don’t, but you have to do what you have to do. Be happy, be you and no one can stop that. You have to live your life the way you want to be happy. With school, some people will just go along with your new name and not even know you’re trans. I know it’s gonna be uncomfortable at first, but you will definitely get used to it once you start interacting with people. You have close friends that support you, and who knows you may meet new people at school that you feel comfortable sharing your story with, but you also may want to just be you and have them see you as a male, and not know any different.
With your parents it’s ok to be normal. Just tell them what you’re doing, pronouns, new name etc, and that you’re just looking for support through your journey. I wish you the best of luck 💙
