So I am a closeted trans guy (probably) except most of my friends know. Anyway I'm mostly looking for tips on dealing with oice dysphoria but also how to make my chest look flat when it gets warmer outside. Thankfully it's winter but even in the spring I just overheat so fast even without wearing thick shirts, hoodies, and layering anyway! It's so annoying! I will wear shorts again soon so that'll be good, and I'll try to stay hydrated.

Also, a couple days ago I went to a sewing thing with my mom because an interersting topic was being taught. It was at a fabric shop so I was looking around and I overheard someone talking to my mom and she said "oh is that your son?" my mom was like "that's my daughter" and anyway yeah, fun. I actually told her but my dad can't know so she forgot or something even though she supports others lol. But yep, closeted and somewhat passing (: yay

Hey LonleyCheese, first of all, thank you for sharing your story and experience. 🤗It's so important to talk about these nuances in gender dysphoria. I understand being annoyed with clothing, gender identity and passing, and it can be frustrating to be misgendered. I am sorry you are dealing with that. It also sounds like the situation is causing some tension between you and your mother, which has to be difficult. I'm really glad you have found How are you coping with this?

@broadfemmelovelive Actually my mom and I get along pretty well, but we just don't talk about some stuff. I'm working on stuff with my therapist and I think I'm learning stuff. I also have this vest that I like to wear with baggy, short-sleeved shirts. It's not too good looking but it's not ugly either and if I pull out the shirt a bit it looks just fine! It's not too hot either, and I have lots of stim toys in the pockets. I should wear more baggy sleeve thin button ups though, so I stop picking my arms oof. Thank you for the support1

🤗yea! I know how frustrating figuring out layering can be so I’m glad you found a vest you like. 😅pokers are a must for me too. I appreciate you messaging back and clarifying your relationship with your mum. It's ok to have boundaries surrounding what does or doesn't get talked about. It's great that you are learning somethings from your therapy. 🙌 keep up the hard work 🤗

@LonleyCheese

you can make a binder with 2 sports bras and a undershirt tightened at the sports bra line use a rubber band then put one more on top boom binder

Thanks, I'll have to give that one a try! I heard the do a x2 sports bra but one backwards and it does not work with the racerback ones, that was really strange. But yeah, thanks!

@NoahAnimates & @LonleyCheese

Binding has become an increasingly common practice for sure, I would just try to keep in mind it is not a practice that comes without risks and concerns that should be considered. Perhaps you might want to see some of the information I shared in my post about chest binding that can be found here: https://www.7cups.com/forum/LGBTQMOGIISupport_58/DiscussionsandResources_2305/ChestBinding_289997/

@EmotionsListener Thanks, I'll check it out later since I'm at school at the moment. I watch a tonne of videos by trans guys and I am actually terrified so I will be very safe. I'm trying to get an actual binder but it's rough.
