dysmorphia
i’m trans (female to non-binary/male) and every single day people at school call me slurs and purposely misgender/deadname just because they think it’s funny. lately, i’ve been having extreme body dysmorphia and i feel as if i have no one to talk to; or i feel as if the people/person i am talking to thinks i’m just complaining… does anyone else feel this way? how can i help myself?
I can only say that I hope for you to safely make it through the trauma you experience at school and get to a point where you can surround yourself with people who love you exactly as you are and wouldn’t dream of intentionally hurting you. You are good enough as you are and don’t deserve any of what you are receiving. Remember that there are sooooo many people outside of your school walls, town, city, state, that feel and be and do and love all of your bravery and your true self. Sending you so much love and I wish you make it though the remainder of school safe and knowing strong in your heart this truth. In the meantime, a LGBTQ+ therapist, great friends, online groups, YouTube groups, educational reading, finding people who have lived somewhat close to your story and staying confident amidst the cruelties being shown to you. I’m so sorry you have to go through this. I wish for you all the good things.
(Dysphoria is the trans related thing, dysmorphia is a totally different thing)
