It makes me feel like I want to force them into going to a Pride event and have to talk to lots of people who will be extremely offended if they are called by the wrong pronouns, especially after correcting them once or twice. lol that would be kinda entertaining
My friend was asked by someone in my year at school "hey you're lemon's friend right? Do you know where she is?" and obviously my friend corrected him to say "they" but he didn't listen even though I know this person and he definitely knew I am nonbinary. Feels like I'm not trying enough to appear more androgynous but nonbinary does not equal androgynous and people should be more respectful of that !

I just came across this post, and even though I can't personally relate, what you're saying makes a lot of sense. It can be really frustrating when people try to stereotype your gender or personality into something you're not—it's terrible. I hope you all get the respect you deserve. 🤍💫
I’ve also spent some time learning more about the LGBTQ+ community recently, and it’s really opened my eyes.
