I don't feel loveable because I'm trans
And I'm scared that I will never find love because of being trans
@communicativeApple9560 You feel hopeless in the sense of a disconnection with your body and yourself, that’s a very difficult place to be. People discriminate against what they don’t understand, and I’m sorry that what you’re feeling puts you in a place of fear about your life ahead. I want to honor that feeling and validate it, but also let you know that as a trans person myself, though I still struggle with those feelings sometimes, have met many people that do love and embrace me romantically as I am, and who go past indifference and in turn celebrate me and my body. Sometimes I have to wade through a lot of the negative people to find them, but they exist and are there. You are a human like any other, deserving of love in all aspects of the word.
Thank you so much for your response I was hoping getting an answer from a trans person . You said that I feel hopeless of a disconnection with my body and myself, do you know how to reconnect me and my body?also thanks for reminding me that those ppl exist in the world I needed this hahaha
@communicativeApple9560 Oh of course, I’m glad you found this encouraging! There are absolutely people for us out there (including other transfolk!) As for reconnecting with yourself through your body, it’s a very personal question, so I can’t say for sure what you need. People are all different in their transition journeys, personally I am male presenting and have been on HRT (testosterone) for about 8 years, and am not planning to pursue surgery. In the past pre-HRT, I found certain hormonal birth controls that feminized my body more made me feel worse, and working out certain areas like the upper body made me feel more confident. Some people bind or tuck, grow out or cut their hair, use HRT for life or for a short period of time, do voice training, use makeup, or get surgery to feel more in tune with their body. If you notice moments when you feel happier in your skin, pausing for a moment and thinking about why might be helpful in exploring that question for you.
Okay thanks for answering again hahah so I need to transition to reconnect, which makes sense because i really want it. I'm planning to get hrt but it's reallyy hard to find someone who does it. I tried calling so many therapist and stuff. I'm starting to feel really hopeless : (
@communicativeApple9560 I'm so sorry this is happening for you, that sounds really discouraging. Finding trans health care may be difficult and take some time. It may be challenging to get to, but that certainly doesn't mean it's not in your future. I'm going to send you a message, feel free to chat more with me if you want to keep talking.
