Loneliness
Ever since I broke up with my ex girlfriend, which was half a year ago, I realized how hard it is to meet another lesbian. I don't wanna use dating apps and I don't even have any gay friends irl so I don't have anyone to go to gay clubs with. I don't really start conversations first so that makes it harder too. All of this started making me feel that I'm wasting my time and that I won't find my person. I thought that my ex was my soulmate which makes it harder for me to even like someone new, after all of this time I still miss her and wonder if we would be together if I didn't say some things. I'm just very hopeless when it comes to love life
@imaginativeBeing9180 Why not learn to start conversations first?
I don't like forcing anything tbh. I like when things are natural and not me having to think about what to talk about
@imaginativeBeing9180 Atune to the emotional experience of your conversation partner and ask questions about them, their life, their experiences, how they are feeling right now. You have to put in some effort, and with the right effort it can feel like a natural flow. This is a skill like tying your shoe. Difficult at first and with a small amount of practice you can do it without thinking. The more you do it the better. Find some books about how to develop this skill. Take the parts that make sense to you and try.
