Confused and need support
hi!
I'm new here.
so I’m struggling a lot at the moment with my identity and what everything means. I’ve had a hard life, I have a disability that left me very poorly during my childhood, it’s only now I’ve been able to look at myself and try and figure out what’s going on in my head and the outside world.
life is so confusing, I’m constantly wondering why humans and life is the way it is.
and now I’m realising that my sexuality isn’t linear either…
I went to a drag theatre show tonight and met some drag queens, I loved every minute! The hair, makeup, outfits… drag queens really make me feel amazing. Seeing someone be so bold and authentically them is so inspiring.
But now, I’m home, feeling completely lost and confused because I’m not like them. I’m not owning who I am, and I don’t even know what that is yet.
Sometimes you’ll never know to you try! If it makes you smile you headed in the right direction.
@littleconfused1349 hi there! i'm kate, the community mentor leader of this subcommunity. just so you know, i moved your thread to the 'LGBTQ+ General Support' subforum!
Hey @littleconfused13!
Ya, identity is really weird and hard to try and overcome and figure out, and its not a straight line. I'd definitely reach out to one of our listeners [(like me!) if you want someone specific to talk to about your issues. If it's not safe for you to experiment right now, I would stay safe, but trying out new pronouns or labels on here never hurts (in fact I have only on here too). We are here for you, and supporting you through the crazy rabbit hole of an identity!
