Tips?
Hi, to anyone who happens to be reading this. I'm Levi, and relatively new to 7 Cups all together, so I apologize if I'm slow. I kind of just wanted to put myself out there in the community, and maybe get some advice for things? It's weird to state this publicly, but I'm a transgender (FTM) individual who is currently in the closet right now, for my own personal safety. Which, as anything does, has its challenges. For one, it's really hard getting proper advice for some of the more specific things that come with being trans, especially dysphoria related stuff. What works and doesn't work for an individual might be completely different depending on that individual's experiences, so looking for tips on social media is fine, but kinda generalized. Personally, it's been a struggle trying to bind safely without an actual binder (+ just dealing with dysphoria in general), and I thought this might be a good opportunity to possibly ask around for people who've had more experience than me, or just have tips on how to get through a day without constantly feeling like an imposter in a sometimes unwelcoming body? My hope is that this turns into an exchange type space, and maybe like-minded folk can also come in here with tips and questions alike.
Sorry for chewing your (metaphorical) ear off, and I hope everyone here's getting by alright.

Hellooou welcome to 7cups! (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)
While I'm not a trans guy, I do have some binding experience. And there are safe options! Probably the best way is actually to get a binder. Try joining a trans *** group. Not only will you be able to get advice, but some people are willing to send you a binder (and testosterone, tho I would be careful about that). Or there are charities that can send it to you. Another option is to make it yourself. I think this tutorial is pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmnDtk1P6yI&t=524s . Or the third option: complain about your back not being straight and tell your parents ur getting an abdominal binder (or steal one from ur grandma( ˶°ㅁ°) !!). Once you get it, raise it a bit higher so it covers ur chest (you might have to secure it with safety pins). It does leave a bit of a line at the top, but ur as flat as a pancake.
Hope this helps! Happy safe binding!! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
