any advice on figuring out gender?
i've been confused on my gender for a while and i'm always torn with the idea of wanting to be masculine and/or feminine (i use she/he pronouns) and at the moment i like the sound of the genderqueer label but i'm not sure??? any ideas on how to understand myself better? thank you :)
Hiya @mystype! I would like to start by saying that I am so proud of you for working towards finding what you are comfortable with! That's really important. When trying to decide upon pronouns and gender identity, it all depends on what you are comfortable with! There are many different pronouns and identity's to go by, and if you aren't comfortable with pronouns you don't even have to have pronouns. It sounds like you are struggling with deciding masculine or feminine, and the wonderful thing is that you don't have to pick one or the other, or if you feel so inclined you don't have to pick either! As for a gender identity to go by, have you looked into genderfluid? It sounds like it might better fit what you are looking for, however I do have to note that I don't know a whole lot about different gender identities by themselves. However you can find many articles on different gender identities, that go into detail about each one so that you can one that best fits you. Whatever you decide fits you best, know that you are accepted and that it is okay to be you.
