Am I lesbian?

Hi. I’m only 15, but I definitely feel that I am attracted to girls. I have never been in a long-term relationship with anyone and the only relationship I had lasted 1 month and it was with a guy that I was not attracted to. Honestly I don’t think I’m attracted to guys. Does anyone have any advice on maybe how you knew you were a lesbian?

its alright to identify yourself at 15 and I'm proud of you for doing so. ♡ you need to ask yourself these questions regarding your identity and attraction, do you like girls? what are you interested in? how did you come to the conclusion? you know the basic questions that will put clear picture in your head and even if you're still confused, it's alright. take your time. 💜

Congratulations on recognizing your identity, you're so brave ✨ I have never dated anyone, but through my life, before I went to uni I had like 4 crushes on boys even though I didn't want to be with them at all. Later on I realized I forced myself to find men attractive. I found out I was a lesbian because I fell in love with my best friend months before graduating and I promise it felt good and more natural and honest.

Hey Sofi, you are not weird or behind at all. A lot of people start sorting through this around your age, and it is completely okay not to have clear labels yet.

I am also nineteen and a lesbian, and I know how confusing it can feel when you are trying to understand your feelings while also wondering what everything means. It takes time, and there is no pressure to figure it all out quickly.

One thing that can help is paying attention to what feels natural for you, not what you think you are supposed to feel. Who do you genuinely feel drawn to, think about, or feel a real sense of connection with. Even past experiences that did not feel right are still useful because they help you understand yourself better.

You do not have to rush into defining anything. Some people understand themselves early, others take longer, and both are valid. Giving yourself space to be honest without forcing answers usually makes things clearer over time.

Also make sure you are exploring your feelings in spaces and with people who respect your boundaries and comfort.

For anyone else reading this, how did you first start to understand what you were feeling and who you were drawn to. I would really like to hear different experiences and connect 🤍

@sofiai9Hi! I just published a book and  thought that it could help a lot of people.

What if the person you've been searching for all this time is simply yourself?

🌈Coming Home to Yourself is a heartfelt LGBTQ+ self-acceptance guide for anyone navigating self-discovery, coming out, religious guilt, family expectations, faith, healing, and authentic love.

Drawing from my own experiences as an LGBTQ+ individual raised in a religious environment, J.L. Satori (me) shares the fears, questions, setbacks, and breakthroughs that shaped my journey toward self-acceptance. Through honest storytelling and compassionate reflection, I explored some of the most difficult questions many LGBTQ+ people face:

• How do I accept myself when I grew up believing being LGBTQ+ was wrong?

• Can I be both LGBTQ+ and Christian?

• How do I heal from religious guilt and shame?

• What if my family doesn't accept me?

• How do I come out on my own terms?

• Am I worthy of love exactly as I am?

Inside this book, you'll discover guidance and encouragement on:

- LGBTQ+ self-discovery and identity

 - Self-acceptance and overcoming shame

- Coming out and family acceptance

- Healing religious guilt and faith-based struggles

- Building confidence and emotional resilience

- Finding healthy relationships and authentic love

- Creating a life rooted in honesty, peace, and belonging

- Whether you're questioning your identity, coming out, healing from rejection, reconciling faith and sexuality, or simply learning to embrace yourself more fully, this book offers a gentle reminder.

You don't need to have everything figured out to deserve love, belonging, and peace.
