How do I accept myself as a lesbian?
How can I accept myself as a lesbian? I am 27. I am always doubting myself and denying it and honestly I hate myself. 😭 My whole family is homophobic and Christian. I am still closeted. I don't know anyone else who is a lesbian in real life or online. I need advice?
being lesbian isnt wrong at all and u shouldnt feel ashamed. come on, people actually hate tht u like someone your own gender? its not their opinion, life, or preference. Also God doesnt atomically judge u for being lesbian/gay. we are all sinners and he doesnt get one sin and call it a day then send u to hell. He loves everyone of us and accepts us for who we are. he will see past our sins and forgive u if asked. They should know this. But its okay to be closeted because i used to be but i felt like i couldnt live with myself lying to everyone including me which is why im telling u this because ik its hard and frustrating to not let things out. If you really do like girls then go with it. Dont hate yourself just because you love someone. Everyone has feelings and if they cant accept it then that just means they cant accept themselves. im sorry u have to go through this 🥺

well it depends how ur parents are. i’d say yes because its a big weight off ur shoulders and it just makes you feel so proud and bold. But i do think you should have a serious talk with your parents abt it and put as much emotions as u feel on the spot into ur speech. If they love u like they say they do then theyll accept u no matter what. And its okay to cry, i did when i came out :) if things go downhill just know the community has your back!
